First Art Show at In Your Eye Studio and Gallery, Paseo Arts District

I joined In Your Eye Studio & Gallery in April this year, thanks to my friend (and super talented artist), Chad Woolbright. He has been one of their 12 resident artists for years.

When they happened to have a rare opening this spring, Chad happened to catch a glimpse of my Instagram feed. Thus began a perfect fit. I’ve been a part of the dynamic co-op gallery since April.

Of the 12, we have 2-D and 3-D artists: 1 jewelry artist, 1 metal sculptor, 1 ceramicist, 2 photographers, and 7 (mostly) painters. On August 1st, ceramicist Jean Keil (also a newbie) and I opened our show, “Spacial Recognition”, at the gallery. Jean and I loved fusing our creative visions to create a carnival of color and shape.

Take a look at the piece David Dean wrote in the OK Gazette. David and I hit it off immediately. He shares my enthusiasm for the evolving art scene here, and we share the experience of moving back home after living away on a coast for a while.

Thank you so much to everyone who came out to see the show! We had an amazing turn out. First Fridays in The Paseo are always fun, and this was even more special.

The show is up through this last week of August!! Get a sample here…

My nephew Jaicks brought me handmade flowers.

Check it out Thursday, Friday, or Saturdays from 12-5 at In Your Eye Gallery, next to Picasso Cafe in The Paseo Arts District. Stop by!! (We have loads of note cards and gift items from local resident artists, too!)
